Our Balmain range is traditional aged Sandstone cladding that is hand chiselled and carved unique to Sydney Tile Gallery. This sandstone comes in a random format with different lengths and heights of 300-900mm x 300-400mm. We recommend that the Sandstone tiles and pavers are sealed with a penetrating stone sealer.
Natural Stone is subject to variation as each tile has its own unique surface.

WHAT IS SANDSTONE
Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-size mineral or rock grains. Most sandstone is composed of quartz and/or feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the Earth’s crust. Like sand, sandstone may be any colour, but the most common colours are tan, brown, yellow, red, grey and white.
USES FOR SANDSTONE
Sandstone is a has many uses and comes in an array of finishes, colours and sizes. For internal use including kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces we recommend using honed finish Sandstone Pavers. For external applications and around pools, you have the option of sandblasted Sandstone in both tile and paver format. Sandstone is also often used as a rock wall cladding feature around fireplaces, columns and blade walls.
